Chime in, please, on SIL's request

I was at dinner Friday night with my family, when my sister-in-law called my husband (his sister).

Her 19 year old son is going to visit my 21 year old son out of state.

I agree.

From what I have seen, tattoo parlors aren't the same breed as when we grew up. Much more safe. I'd still be very concerned, though. Just as I have been with my son's tattoos, and he doesn't have an illness. So that does seem odd that she supported him getting them.

And you cracked me up at the end! Glad you're keeping a sense of humor about this.

I hope your nephew gets his clean bill of health and soon!

Regarding the issues at hand, I think it's probably something your nephew and SIL should discuss with his doctors. A cleaning lady isn't an extravangance in this case...but it would show some major maturity and responsibilty for the guy's to clean the apartment themselves.

I asked my husband what, exactly, my sis-in-law said to him that compelled him to offer to get a cleaning lady.

All she mentioned was the fact that the apartment isn't very clean and that her son would be going there.

I don't think you should say anything, Irishtea.

You are right paradigm.

I think you're doing the right thing, by getting your son to clean the place up. But OTOH, if your SIL thinks this is such a risk, why isn't she putting him up in a hotel? In my family, if anyone has "special needs" they stay in a hotel, so they don't trouble anyone.

I didn't know that about tattoos being an assault on the body, but I can sure see why.

I never saw B's until they were healed/almost healed completely up.

I think that you should let your dh do the talking or both of you just stay out of it.
