Oh we've had that happen here too....until she walked in & I was running around changing clothes after work. She had the nerve to say something to me and I shot back that she should call first! I wasn't naked---had on shorts & a tank top & I guess she thought that was risque' but....whatever! Like I said, call first! Sheesh...
OMG, Helga & Cat, I know we have got to be related. My dad comes from a family of 15 one of the Uncle's would steal your dinner roll off your plate & shove your hand/fingers in the butter when you passed it to him.

The house we live in is co-owned by MIL/DH {it's left to dh in her will} I was in the shower came out of our bathroom & walked into our room {& I was naked} there MIL & one of lady friends were in my room. I put my bathrobe on & went out to make them tea. But when dh got home he got a earful. At the time dh had a housemate who was home too & he told dh that they didn't ring the doorbell or knocked {they walked around for a while he was in the kitchen making himself something to eat} dh blasted MIL for that one & we did change the locks.
Yup....that's him!!! I think we all must have an uncle like that. Unfortunately, in my family, we have quite a few of them. Actually, all of them are like that!!!
When I was a kid, we used to live with my grandmother & grandfather. I was really little, like 3 or 4. I remember my uncle chasing me & mom around the house with live lobsters---without the bands on their claws!!! We were screaming, my great grandma was yelling in Italian, uncle was cracking up, doors slamming....utter chaos! But that's just how he was....always up to no good!!! I miss him.
You need to sit your mil down and let her know how you feel about her coming into your house without asking permission first. How would she feel if you did it to her? And your husband needs to talk to her about it also.
