Hey you guys..

I was browsing about this weekend and came across this ivillage MB thing..

I am new to my area-- the state rather-- have had a lot of changes in my life in the past yr.

So now I'm new to the state of Louisiana and I have no friends-- and my family are still 5 hrs away.

:( sorry if i seem whinney but I am so feeling alone. Just wanted to introduce myself and maybe start some "online" friendships? :)

My "new" free computer is crashing today. Took me 3 hours to get it to turn on.... Yesterday I got the estimate on my other computer and it looks good. So.....

I'll "see" everybody when I can.

TxButterfly, I hope you stick around!

hi CFK--
I am trying to make the "outlets" where I can meet new people. There are times when I feel VERY INSECURE when I shouldn't feel that way at all. Just some days are OVERWHELMING .. more than others.
My children are grown-- but I do have my BF's son (whom I call my own now) and he is 10... we shall see about the school thing :)
thanks for the reply & input! :)
Have a great day! :)

HI there, Cat-

well kinda a long story.. and since I don't have anything to do at the time, here at work.. I'll divulge the "juicy info" of my AS KIMBERLY'S LIFE TURNS! LOL when you read this.. well you might laugh and you might cry.. cuz I have done both! lol AND BTW-- This is NOT A FEEL sorry for Kimberly session.. just sharing the reason of my move-- which is infact , MY LIFE! LOL

So... I was married for almost 19 yrs when I left my hubby (the ex now) .. was so unhappy-- had become a recluse-- pretty much given up on life-- because that's how unhappy I was-- I felt "stuck" in a marriage where there was no relationship there and I didn't love him, sadly but true. I married him because I was with a child (whose daddy had left for when i wasw 8 months preg with my son who is now 21)and didn't have any self esteem--and this man and family took us in like we were there own. :)

Welcome, butterfly. I think most everyone can relate to feeling misplaced and or lonely. Do you have any outlets where you can possibly make some new friends? Such as, church, a hobby/club, or civic organization? Do you have children? Perhaps you could get involved with the school where your kids attend, and meet some people that way. If you don't have children, you could consider taking a college course...something fun like, photography, gardening, a foreign language or art.

Hi Kimberly, I know how you feel - 6 years ago, I moved to another country! I'm American, my husband is English so I moved from PA to England to be with him. I still miss my friends and family back home and only have a few friends and in-laws here in the UK. I have my husband of course but lately he's been really busy. So I know what it feels like to feel alone and misplaced.
