I thought Izzy's idea of the cook book was good.
I knew a woman at work who got pregnant a mth after my DD. When we were chatting after she announced her pregnancy, she mentioned that her Mom didn't seem as excited as I was about my DD's pregnancy. So I went out that night & spent 20 to 25 on a welcome baby gift bag including blanket, baby book, a bottle, etc.. This was 5 yrs ago & she still tells me how this was so special to her as she never expected it. The expression of joy on her face isn't something I will ever forget.
