I have a girlfriend whom I have known for probably over 20 years now.

I think friendships are to be cherished.

Have they made you uncomfortable in the past by asking inappropriate questions?

I appreicate your reply. The issue is not my single-dom. It's about another topic which, I do not wish to discuss on this board. However, I've just sent my reply and we are meeting up in the coming weeks. I'm going to put my happy cap on and put your clever tactics to use! Thanks again!

I think you made the right choice. To at least give it a chance. You never know!

Good luck, and if you wish, keep us updated.

Have you been on trips, etc? I would play up your freedom and loving it the way you do. I understand those questions you are dreading. I am just not the marrying kind myself, personally. I get asked and cajooled all of the time with family and friends sometimes. I just tell them that I only see marriage as being worth it for (a) financial security and for (b) kids, and since I'm financially secure myself, I don't see a reason under (a), and since I'm not sure of having kids, (b) doesn't apply either.

Just play it up like the fun bachelorette you are. Singledom IS fun - I am living it (I'm in a relationship but am not married nor living with anyone - thank heavens!).

You misunderstood me.

Odd man out as in they have remained in contact, and I have not seen or spoken to Andrea in almost a decade.
