I met this woman maybe 2 months ago briefly at a dinner with mutual friends. we went to coffee together once after that but then after i lose my job we started meeting several times a week .
she has lived in this city for about 1 year and doesnt have many friends. she's quite lonely and has told me this several times - but also feels

There are definitely some red flags in regards to her behavior.
Yes, she's out of line, and very unpleasant.
Wow, she sounds, exactly like, a crazy neighbor, I have (who, I stay AWAY from!!!)
1st, like my neighbor, she's very insecure about herself, that's why she feels the need to talk about herself so adoringly, and 'fishes' for compliments. 2nd, this is the reason why she is so lonely, because people don't put up with her 'odd' behavior and would rather not hang around her.
I, definitely, would not hang out with here anymore!

P.S. Just because one might be slim, doesn't automatically make them desirable unless, it's just for sex.
