Well i talked to my mom last night and brought up what to do with my sister should something happen to her. She wasnt thrilled that i mentioned it but she did say she was making arrangements. So far she has begun working with a lawyer on opening a trust for my sister in which she will deposit her checks from SSI. This will give her money should we need to place her in a group home. She is also working on getting my sister a passport should DH and i elect to bring my sister over here. We have determined my brother is a selfish pig headed person and will not take care of her at all and has deamed her my responsibility. Funny how he never grew up with his dad but turned out just like him. Currently my sister babysitter (after school care giver) has power of attorney to take care of my sister if something happens until i can get there to help assist with arrangements or decide what is to be done. Of course we cant put all of this on the caretaker since she is 65years old but at least there are some options even if nothing is definate. I still want to get some sort of plan set in stone but this will have to do for now and it does take a bit of the weight off my mind.

I am so happy to hear that she finally let you in on her plans. I am sure it took some of the weight off your shoulders, but I am also sure you will still worry. I am just so happy to hear that she is making some progress:) Have a great weekend~~~Michelle
