I wouldn't say you are wrong. Just miscommunication growing into frustration.
I admit, I would be a bit upset with a friend as well if they were not willing to take my feelings into consideration.
I remember some situations like that happening in college for me. I eventually just stopped hanging out with one person in particular, because it became quite obvious they were more into the bar scene then they were in being my friend.

I had the same thought as cl-gingersnapelle.
I can understand the frustration, but sometimes trying to compromise prevents a bigger blow up of the situation.
