First, I'll give you some background. I'm a 26 year old guy. I have a brother who's 28 and we were like best friends. We even look so much alike, people think we're twins and we have to correct them. Two years ago, I moved across the country for a job. He stayed in my home town.

Hey, not sure at all anymore. Thanks a lot. I feel better about planning a hellofa bachelor party. I'm glad you didn't judge me. I was reluctant at first, because I read that other post about the girl who's father is remarrying and the woman doesn't like the family. Some people came down on her hard.

Throw the bachelor party. If he's totally whipped then he won't show up but you guys can have a good time in his honor. If he decides to "defy" her then you'll find out what happens next. If she calls off the wedding because he didn't "obey" her then maybe its his lucky day.

It could go either way. He may be whipped enough to not show up. If he doesn't show up we'll have a great time without him. If he does show up and the wedding is called off, I'll feel it's his lucky day. I don't know how he'll feel. Our friends are all for throwing the party, so I guess I shouldn't feel bad for going along with it.

Is there any way you can just go out with the two of them? perhaps you can suggest going for a morning run or swim and then breakfast together with them when your back home. If she is on "health kick" maybe you can try their lifestyle for a weekend whe you are back home visiting them..

If they do go ahead and get married, she is going to be your SIL for a LONG time and you cant just ignore her. I think you might want to make some plans that include her, she feels very jealous and dicatatorial, and he is too soft to do anything. Its going to be interesting when you decide to get married and see what your wife thinks of her.

I believe you should have a great Bach party regardless but make sure you reinforce to your brother that no matter what, you will always be there for him. ANd tell his fiance that you intend to look after him at the party. She is just dead scared of losing him, and needs to get over her fears - she obviously has
