Yes, if the 'choose' to continue to think a certain way, I can't help that.....I can only continue living my own life & making my own choices.

Hi,

Stop trying to please your parents. They will believe what they believe. The will "react" the way they will react. You've got to learn that you will never have their approval and that that is OK.

Congratulations on your new baby! I wish you all the best and way to go "Grandma"!

I do understand your parents' reaction though as a parent of adults myself. I'm not a controlling parent at all but my first reaction would be fear of losing my own baby which is what you will always be to your parents. As someone else said, they adore your DD and so they will adore this baby too. Just remember fear plays a big part in how a parent reacts even when we are grown up.

Well, I am very proud to say, after I told my Dad, then he talked with my Mom, my Mom was mature enough to call me and say "congratulations"!

That was a happy momment for me!
