You're having an affair. Do you realize this? If you value your marriage to your husband more, you need to break off the affair and likely end contact with this other woman.

You are really going through a lot right now.  You are vulnerable.   Being in love with someone when you are committed to someone else is very stressful.  Your husband may be in denial about your feelings for this other person when he says it is OK with him.   If he does not care that you are having a love affair, even without sex, your marriage needs help.

I agree if you value your marriage your love affair with your friend has to end.  Perhaps you can reestablish your friendship with new boundaries. I do not think you can have it both ways an not get crazy.  Your friend is smart taking some time to get her head straight.  That would be good for you to do, too. A professional  counselor can help get this sorted out, your grieving over your father, feeling stronger inside yourself, reevaluate your marriage and your friendship.
