Another Grandson!

DSD had her 20-week ultrasound yesterday and they pretty much confirmed that the baby is a boy! Due date is still August 24.

Of course I had to ask right away about name possibilities. They know they are going to use Robert as the middle name. That means a double honor for DH (Robert) because the first grandbaby has his middle name!

The first names they are leaning toward are Cash or Byron. I like them both but Byron would end up with the initials B.R.F. I don't like that because I can just see kids teasing him - "barf"! Nobody else seems to see that, though. ;)

I'm all set to order a "Jesus Loves Me" sampler to cross-stitch. I was also thinking of getting a "Thank Heaven for Little Boys" design but on closer inspection, I didn't like it as much.

Oh, RoseAnn - congratulations!!! Such exciting news, and such an honor for Robert!!!

I love, love, love that you don't like Byron because of the initials. That is something I would think of (yet another thing you and I have in common, LOL). A close friend wanted to give her daughter a middle name that traditionally begins with "C," which would've made her initials F.C.K. They chose to spell the middle name with a "K" instead. When my friend told me this story (after the fact), I said, "This is why we're friends, because you think of things like this."

Thanks for the gift suggestions! The counted cross-stitch is my "thing". I've made wedding samplers for all the family weddings and baby samplers for each baby when they arrive. DSD is the only one who's not great about hanging them up. :(

For his 1st birthday, I sent DGS one of my favorite books from childhood: "Cars and Trucks and Things that Go" by Richard Scarry. It has so much detail and lots of things to identify. When it arrived in the mail, I had to read through it before I wrapped it up to send! LOL

I went to school with a girl whose initials were KKK. :( When I was pointing it out to my sister last night, she said, "Well my sister-in-law's initials were A.S.S. until she got married." Yeah, and she's the warning example I give to people! LOL

My brother is in the military and their name tags are so his ended up being "R.E.Viled" (not his real last name but a similar effect). How could my parents have anticipated that?! LOL
