April 18th, we will be married 7 months!
RoseAnn, my DH is the same way. I love making a big deal out of birthdays! I haven't been able to celebrate with my friends in several years because I lived out of town, so this is extra special.
I'll let you know about the gift card. I got it from a website that often has deals like this, and their everyday price is $25 for a $100 gift card. Of course, there are stipulations, but I've spoken to the restaurant, and it seems like it will be great for this occasion.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've been scheming over my birthday weekend for months...DH's birthday is in March but I've been talking about mine (which isn't until May) since before his! What? He doesn't want to make a big deal of his but I look forward to celebrating mine! ;)

I *KNOW* you're not the worst grandma in the world, RoseAnn. It's only his first birthday (so you have time to get that date nailed in your mind, LOL), and it's not like you completely forgot - just when you were writing that post.

OMG, you're right! I can't believe I forgot that when I was typing up the post. I swear I'm not the worst grandma in the world...I have half his gift purchased, bought his birthday card today and am dragging DH to Babies-R-Us tomorrow to pick out an outfit. LOL
