RoseAnne had me thinking that DH and I have a lot of traditions that we do...maybe other couples have some they would like to share??? What are YOUR traditions?

Dh and I have started a few:

- we always say good night and I love you as we fall asleep

- we take a ski

What I do when my husband is out, is most often getting a massage. I have a good friend who is great at it and the bonus part they guy also sharpens my knifes!

DH and I always get up at the same time during the week. We have coffee and watch the news together. We almost always go to bed at the same time, too.

After 3 years together, we finally started some Christmas traditions this past year. On Christmas night, we turned off all the lights in the house, turned our couch to face the Christmas tree, and put on holiday music. We talked some, but mostly we just sat curled up together for a while. It was amazing, and we'll definitely be repeating that.

We're also beginning a new tradition this year (God willing): we will travel in even years and celebrate Christmas with our families in odd years. DH and I both are a little overwhelmed by the holidays, so we're planning to travel to a state park where we'll just be together for 4 days. I can't wait!

I don't think that's odd at all! DH used to play role-playing games every Thursday night and I've actually missed those evenings to myself: eating what I want, watching a chick-flick. He has a game night scheduled this Thursday and I can't wait! ;)

Aw, that's not really odd. I have one night a month that I go out with a bunch of women. I go straight from work so I don't see DH until bedtime. I just all it my "mommy me time" (we are all mothers) instead of a day off, LOL ;-)

I think it's cool - a free day to do whatever you want w/o asking if your partner is interested!

I've always held the belief that couples that cook together are bound to stay together. I remember my brother cooking dinner w/his now wife and thinking: she is the one!!

Friday night is "date night". Although we spend most of our free time together, Friday night is extra special. We usually make homemade pizza, watch TV and just hang out together.

During the summer, I try to ride the bus to work at least twice a week. My favorite part of those days is to get off the bus on the way home and see DH waiting with the dogs to walk home with me.

I am a morning person. On Sunday mornings, I will get up, retrieve the paper and read it while watching the news. At some point, I'll make coffee as an incentive for DH to wake up and make an appearance. ;)

On the weekends, we often cook together. That's when we're most likely to make soup or something in the slow cooker. It gives us a cozy meal for Sunday night plus leftovers for during the week!
