We make sure that Jesus is the focus of Christmas...But yes we do exchange gifts :)
This is our 4th Christmas together.
No we don't exchange gifts for Christmas, we think it is just ridiculous for adults to do give gifts to each other for Christmas, it is just a part of the whole marketed Christmas. Sorry but we are just not feeding into it. I hope I am not offending anyone.
Gifts are meant to be given to children even if that. I just find it sad that celebrating Christmas has become more about giving gifts that celebrating the true meaning of this holiday.

I say "it depends."
This is our third Christmas together, and the first that we've been able to exchange gifts. Because DH is a full-time student and is not receiving financial aid right now, we're on a tight budget. But I had stockpiled a large credit with Amazon, and so we're able to have a good Christmas without putting up too much cash.
We've already exchanged gifts, but we'll each have a small package for the other to open on Christmas morning.
I received a Kindle from DH; it should arrive tomorrow, and I'm super excited!
