DH doesn't travel much currently but he has travelled a lot with previous jobs. It was an adjustment for both of us and definitely had advantages and disadvantages.

Technology has helped alot. He works with people all over the country (and even some internationally) but they are able to get everything accomplished via teleconferencing, etc.

Nice he doesn't travel RoseAnn,
Gotta love technology & how easy/convenient they make things like that these days :)

Yes, he travels often and so do I. Three separate flights for us just over the holidays. He travels for work as well maybe once every 3 months.

Growing up, DH had a father that travelled for business a LOT. So he would never take a job where it was required.

When we met, I travelled every few months for work but they were really short trips. I considered a job where travel was required 1 week out of 4...and DH had some issues with it. Ultimately I didn't get the job so it didn't become an issue.

Ironically, DH is working today (Sunday) for 12 hours and won't be home w/us. He works 4 days and with the commute, it's 12 hours. So we dont' see each other as much as other couples with regular schedules do. You just have to be more "present" when you do see each other though. You know, not surfing the internet or watching TV when they are home :)

Good way to look at that Dee,
Your time together is very precious!
Sorry he is working such a long day today :(
Least travel is not a real issue :)
