Even if happily married, isn't a little hubby bashing healthy?

Just by the fact of living together with someone there are awlays little annoyances that can emerge everyday (remember your college roomate?). For example my husband never put backs stuff he is just used, if he sees the trash in front of the door somehow he does not register that he needs to take it out, he will have long conversation at breakfast with the kids while I am trying

This board isn't restricted to those who are "Perfectly, 100%, Fairy-tale" marrieds! LOL I don't think we'd have many members left if we limited it to that point. ;)

We are united in the fact that our marriages are generally healthy and happy and look to each other for support in the easy-going days and the days that we find our spouses challenging.

Welcome to the board! I'm RoseAnn, 37 (for a few more weeks), married for 15 years to Robert, 42. We live in Denver, CO. I have a grown step-daughter and 2 grandsons. We also have two spoiled golden retrievers.

My DH is similar to what you describe. It drives me nuts that he won't put things away, especially things that don't get used very often. He'll ask where he can find his crescent wrench and we have to retrace his steps to figure out where he used it last and where he may have laid it down nearby.

I look forward to getting to know you here!

Welcome to the board :)

Like RoseAnn said I don't think we're happy every day, every minute, LOL
There are always things that will annoy us.
However a good sit down discussion may help remedy some of those things .. so try that.
Hope to see you here again :)

I think the board name is very deceiving - it should be changed to encompass all married and usually happy couples

We do have members that are engaged, living together, etc.

The name has been a part of this board for 10+ years and always seems to draw the people who are looking for it. ;)

Not necessarily,
Afterall the idea is to be able to be *happily married* ..
So if some need ideas/suggestions for that .. maybe we can help :)

Yes, it's natural for small annoyances to arise. However, if your husband gets word that you're trashing him, it can escalate things. If you want to vent, do it discretely---and also remind your pal of the big picture, so she doesn't start treating

Welcome to the board! We always welcome the male perspective. It's just somewhat rare in this forum. ;)
