It's the most wonderful time of the year! Ok with that said, my husband and I live in Alabama which means two things 1: Alabama or Auburn and 2: Football is everything (well almost). So we are a house divided, I am Alabama and my husband, Auburn. I will be attending an Auburn game with him this month. Although I am bama all the way, I don't mind these trips, in fact, I love them. Auburn has a beautiful campus with lots of things to do and it's one on one time with my hubs (we still think its too soon to take our one year old). It really doesn't bother me that I have been to Auburn more than Tuscaloosa.

Not only am I stoked about college football, I am pretty much excited about NFL due to my husband and I joining a Fantasy league together for the first time. This creates an opportunity to bond and I know he likes discussing football. He helped me with my draft since he is more knowledgable in that field and we have dominated so far.

Anyone else on here avid football fans?

Our enjoyment of football is limited to Superbowl which is pretty much defined by us as 1) ads, 2) halftime show and 3) snacks. LOL

I'm glad you've found something you both enjoy, even if you're rooting for opposite teams. Hopefully it's a friendly rivalry and there are no hurt feelings, no matter how things turn out. :smileywink:

My DH and I are hockey fans - not the same team tho. Obviously that's not going well for me :smileyhappy:

We were dating 9 mos when football season started and he was like, "football, YAY"...I had no idea he had any interest in the sport. If I did, nah...he was born in Dallas so supposedly he has to be a Cowboys fan. I dunno. He finally got me interested enough to watch and I took a liking to the Giants. They won the super bowl that year I think? 2008? Anyway, I lost interest and haven't watched it since.

Glad you two share a hobby together - makes it more fun.

I am from Tennessee (though now live in California) so I totally get the football obsession, especially college football. Nobody seems to get into it as much as people from the South!!

While of course I am a Vols fan, I think we can both at least maybe unite in a hate of Florida Gators?? BOO!!
