When we first married I actually lost about 40lbs, but I injured my back at work and so that 40 creeped back on and brought a few friends. I've lost some of the weight.

Sorry to hear about the back injury Tippy,
Happy to hear you've been working on getting it off.
What kinds of exercise are you doing now ?
I agree on forgetting about the scale.
Many other ways to know when you lose :)

I voted "just a little" because I'm back down to that point now! LOL My weight loss goal was to get down to the weight on my driver's license, which is 14 years old (not the license...just haven't ever updated the weight). I'm only 4 pounds from that goal!!

I've just been walking everyday in the evening, and if it's too hot or raining I use a gazelle. I watch what I eat and my portions.

Right before I started dating DH I had lost a bit of weight but I gained quiet a bit when we were together because he ate out all the time. Even though I watched what I ate when we were out (ate mostly salads) I still packed on the pounds :( I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years into our relationship and that explained a lot of why I had gained almost 70 pounds and no matter what I did, the weight was not coming off.

By the time we married I had lost about half of it (booya to MIL who made a rude comment that I was "going to just get fatter during the engagement" period) and in the first few months, even though we went to eating at home 99% of time, gave up sugars, sweets and cokes for Lent and my cholesterol went from ridiculously high to normal, I gained about 7 pounds. We went from having to do stuff every weekend to nothing and enjoyed it, maybe a little too much :)

Now we are somewhat back on track although I am slacking lately :(

Funny story about DH. My husband used to eat Taco Bell EVERY day for lunch (he had one of those meals and then a few extra burritos plus the coke that came with it), 2 bottles of coke a day plus a candy bar on top of whatever he would order at a restaurant for supper. He hardly ever touched vegetables or fruit. His exercise consisted of walking to and from his car 4 times a day. On the weekends he would go through those large bags of cookies. He was skinny-minny even though he ate like this for years! Then one random day his metabolism just stopped in its track and gained a belly. He absolutely hates it but it really isn't that bad...only 10 pounds or so but it all seems to go to his stomach.

Yep...more than I want. But in my defense, when we met I was an underweight meth addict. Some of that weight was really really needed....the other 60 pounds...not so much :( :( :(
