I voted once in a while as I don't think there is any couple that has never ever argued. Our arguements are more like disagreements, mainly when dh wants /needs to travel and I don't want to go or don't want to stay as long as he does. We don't really "argue". More like very rapid word exchanges. LOL WHat about you hugs?

I voted once in a while. DH and I did not have any kind of disagreement at all for a very long time, and we used to joke that we got all our fighting out when we were younger (back when we were friends the first time, when I was 18 and he was 21, and we argued ALL THE TIME). We still hardly ever argue, although we disagree sometimes - mostly when we're stressed or overly tired.

I have noticed that we've had more disagreements lately than are common for us. We've got a lot on our plate right now, and we're both stressed. But it's funny...we went through a lot of REALLY bad stuff when we were starting out. Now that things are improving and our lives are getting more stable, we disagree more. After talking with DH, I think it's because we've both been kicked around by life so much that we've come to expect it. Now that things are going well, we're stressed because we're waiting (subconsciously) for the bottom to drop out.

DH and I argue occasionally. We had a LOT of arguments in our first year of marriage, because we moved in with his parents after about six months of marriage. We fought so much that we were considering divorcing. Thank the Goddess we haven't gone through that again. On the whole we get along well. At least I'm not walking on eggshells like I was during my first marriage.

It was really rough living with DH's folks, because I had never met them before we moved in with them. Plus, we moved from TN to MI. Talk about culture shock! We were there for one and a half years. I refer to that time (not to DH or his family, though!) as my sojourn into the ninth circle of Hell.
