I voted other, because I've been married twice. I was 18 the first time, and 26 the second time.

Good to see you Carol,

Glad you found love the second time.
Gives me hope for my sons who have not been married yet :)

Thanks, Hugs!

Robyn, I know what you mean. I was only six weeks shy of turning 27 when I married the first time, but I was too young. I'm hesitant to say what a "good" age is to get married, but I think most people who marry before 25 are way too young, and I don't see anything wrong with waiting till 30. I'm a pretty introspective person, and I didn't understand myself well enough to be a good wife until I was in my 30's.

Of course, I never wanted kids, so that wasn't an issue.

I realize that you and Robyn are discussing statistics but I wanted to point out that getting married before 25 isn't an automatic divorce in the making. ;) I was 22 and DH was 26 when we got married and we're going on 15 years. Granted we've changed a lot in that time and have had to remain commited to keeping our relationship healthy because it's not a given at any age.

The biggest obstacle to me waiting until I was 30 to get married is that I met DH when I was much younger than that and I was raised not to live together before marriage so marrying young was really the only option I felt I had to spend my life with the person I loved. That actually illustrates one of the changes that has occurred; if I *hadn't* married DH and met someone *now*, I would more seriously consider living together without being married.
