I am happily married with my hubby J. We have 2 wonderful children :)

He suggested I post this bc it's an ongoing discussion for us. It's a silly little thing but we'd love to hear other unbiased opinions. When I met DH, he had an unusual amount of gas. Yes, gas. It took me SEVERAL years of very gentle suggestion to get him to realize this was "not normal". Now, he can admit it's not normal. The frequency can be as much as 5-6 times/hour after meals, in the morning and before bed. I feel it is an "issue" and he does not. He HAS gone to the doctor and the doctor thought it was nothing - did not suggest anything! Just basically sent him away so he's reluctant to do that route again. He

Thanks for the input Robin, I'm not offended. No, I had no intention of going to the doctor WITH him, LOL. I simply meant I'd ask him to get a physical so we can investigate any allergies or such.

Interesting information about Sweden tho, we tend not to go to the doctor very quickly here. Personally, I went 10 yrs w/o seeing one at all. Dh is like me :)

PS: he still hasn't gone. It has gotten better since he has cut down on sugar and wheat products.

I don't think this needs to be a big deal at all.

Ludam, you can still have apples and veggies, what you need to remove is products with added fibers and high fiberous pasta, breads and cereal. If it says Wholemeal

Well, I'm like your dh, very gassy. It seems that pretty much anything can give me gas.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts.

The reason it took me YEARS to get him to admit the problem...drum roll...he eats cereal for breakfast EVERY morning and refuses to give it up. So he was in denial bc he didn't want to be a lactose issue.

He actually has a new doctor now so I'm going to suggest a physical.
