Last weekend, I "dragged" DH on errands with me. Things I felt we needed to accomplish for our household (i.e. not clothes shopping for me or something). He was a grump the entire time to the point that I've decided to tackle this weekend's list of errands by myself on my Friday off. :-/
Last night DH had a phone conversation with his mom where they were discussing plans while DSD is visiting over Thanksgiving. We're planning on having DMIL and DFIL over to exchange gifts with DSD, DSIL and the 2 DGSs. DMIL is insistent that we invite DH's brother, SIL and our DN. DH and I are agreed on standing firm on who's invited. DSD and her family don't exchange gifts with DBIL, etc and it would be awkward to try and explain to the kids and/or put undue pressure on DSD to shop for them. At this point, I will admit that I have a tendency to harp on DMIL's idiosyncracies. ;)
What occured to me today is that, as long as we take turns irritating each other, we're doing okay! LOL I was annoyed that DH was grumpy and took some of the pleasure out of getting things done last weekend but I was able to roll with it. He was annoyed at my complaining about his mom and her pushy ways but I'm pretty sure we'll be back to normal tonight.
It's like an annoyance see saw. LOL

Last night I shared my theory with DH that as long as we take turns annoying each other, it all balances out. His response: "I think you're taking more than your fair share." LOL
I was overly chatty during the election results and eventually excused myself to take a bath because I just don't find it as enjoyable as DH does. ;)
