You are right - a lot of people have stopped posting....me for one - its not worth all the work or time to figure it out - I dont mind change - I have been through 3 different changes here - didn't take much to figure out - but this time is crazy - and I am still looking for 2 boards that I can not find - sorry - its not worth all the effort

\I do try and come every couple of days - but I don't post

But you are very sweet and I know how you depend on this board's community

Thanks for posting this, Robyn! I feel much the same way that you do.

I have been on the Happily Married board since 1998 and things have changed drastically since I first started posting. Members come and go, CLs change (did you know I was CL for a while?), formats are modified. What remains is the community and this board is a particularly positive one, I think.

I am getting better at navigating my way around the new board format and figuring out what settings are available to make it easiest for me to read.

Because I check in from work, my presence on the board is often dictated by my free time. When I was struggling to keep up with post threads, I wasn't posting as much because by the time I'd caught up, I didn't have time to actively participate. LOL Same thing happens when I go away on vacation; when I come home, I want to see all that I missed but it's often overwhelming to even attempt that.

I am personally always drawn to polls and questionaires. I know our poll function has been removed but we can still post "old-fashioned" polls where we just launch questions at each other in whatever form they make the most sense. I know lots of people respond to Whine Wednesdays (which are great, BTW) but maybe we could start having another day a week that we have a specific thread to look forward to.

Looking forward to other people's input and suggestions!

Hey Robyn & RoseAnn,
Just seeing this thread now sorry ::blush::

A huge change of the boards yes ::sigh::
Like RoseAnn I too have seen many changes ..
And yes people come & go often.

However yes we are all still a community & need to try to make this work
As long as we keep posting people will answer, LOL

I love RoseAnn's idea of anyother question/something to look forward to.
Would love some suggestions & ideas on that please :)

OH & Robyn .. glad you shared/posted this :)

Personally, I prefer the more positive suggestions. Rather than focusing on Monday blues, it would be nice to come up with a happier theme or something to help us get to know each other better. I do look forward to Whinesday but would rather that not be the focus. ;)

Robyn, I think it was terrific that you brought this topic up front and personal
