Most memorable moment of the first year

What was your most memorable moment of your first years together?
Dating?
For my birthday, he took me to Disneyworld (AND proposed with the cutest Mickey Mouse ring during Illumintations)! I'm not sure how he's going to top that, but it was a FUN trip! :) (We're hoping to throw a "big wedding/Vow Renewal" there as soon as his deployment schedule allows!)
Married?
It's still our first year, so I'm sure I'll have more to fill in on this later.
Thought it might be fun to take a walk down memory lane!

How totally cool,
Good luck with him topping that, LOL
Wow quite awhile ago for me ::blush::
Probably just being together & making a home before we had kids
Dating .. oh yes lots then :)
Hmm...DH and I had a whirlwind courtship: engaged less than a month after our first date and married six months after engagement, but we had lots of special moments in that time. Here are my most memorable:
Dating: Our first
I think that's the first pictures I've ever seen of you, Robyn! It's nice to put a face with the name (and Beau, too). ;)

What a great idea!
Most memorable moment while we were dating: we hosted a white elephant gift party at DH's teeny-tiny apartment. He made us an amazing meal and then we opened gifts. I had brought my college roommates and DH had invited his friends. We all had the best time and it was hysterical because one of the men had brought a Paula Abdul CD as their joke gift and my roommates ended up fighting over who got to keep it. LOL
Most memorable moment in our first year of marriage: we bought our first house after being married for 10 months. The day that we signed the papers and got the keys, we bought a pizza and took it to the new house and ate it on the living room floor. That became our new tradition and we've done it at every new place we've moved into.

Marriage: We had such a rough first year - like Sally, it's made us strong but it was tough. I remember lots of late nights talking things through for hours on end. One night, he was sure I was going to leave him bc all of our problems were directly related to him - financial ones and another bigger one. He was feeling very vulnerable and sacred. I held him in my arms and sang to him. I can't sing. This was my way of making myself vulnerable too bc I know I'm a bad singer and refuse to sing around ppl. He started slow dancing w/me and he sang with me. Somehow, it sounded good! I was able to catch his tone and it vibrated throughout the room. It was the first time in my life I've ever sang w/anyone and the vibration of it was amazing.
Sometimes when times get stressful or rough, he'll take me in his arms and we'll slow dance and sing :)
