What are the reasons your DH/So is a keeper?
What does he do that just says you can't live without him?

Let our *inquiring minds* know as always :)

My DH is a keeper bc he is selfless. He puts me and his children first everytime. He works tirelessly to support and provide for us. His ego is small enough that my higher wage and higher IQ do not interfere with our r/ship. I hope that doesn't sound snobby...but I had a lot of men dump me because of these things. I tried to tell them that it didn't matter to me. But somewhere along the way, I started to realize that it matter to THEM and that was why we couldn't be together.

HI Dee,
wow he sure does sound like a keeper,
How wonderful he is so selfless like that & puts you & the kids first as he does.
Good thing those other guys couldn't handle it as you never would

LOL This is a great thread, hugss! For some reason, when I first saw "keeper", I was thinking like DH keeps things...a hoarder, if you will. LOL

I'm not even sure where to start with my answer. My DH is a keeper because:

  • * He makes me laugh even when I don't think I want to laugh
  • * He lets me chatter on and on about things/plans/ideas even when it's something that's not the least bit interesting to him
  • * He is a gourmet (seriously!) cook and is very patient about teaching me in the kitchen so we can create good food together
  • * He likes my friends
  • * He takes good care of our puppies

I feel like I could keep going but those are the ones that spring to mind at first thought!

I love this topic....there are many reasons why my hubby is a keeper, here are few that come to my mind right now

1. he loves to cuddle and we cuddle everyday; he also loves to kiss and sometimes we just kiss without him trying to get something out of it hehe - you all know what I mean

2. he always asks about my day and if i have an important meeting, he always remembers to ask me about it. It is very important to me that he is supportive about my work.

3. he is very supportive in general, and when I told him

DH and I can stay up all night talking...which is how we feel in love. But he is ver reluctant to talk about plans and ideas (he doesn't want to get attached to ideas in case something doesn't work out. He is going to have a HUGE career switch coming up - and it will only be PT at first. He will not even listen to me throw out plans/ideas until his start date is set. Meanwhile, we have to prepare for this! Financially it's going to be diffcult, I have organize and arrange childcare, etc.

I've always thought that couples who can cook together will go far in a marriage :)
DH has started helping me to bake - it's a start, heehee.

DH is a keeper for me for many reasons:

*He gets me.

*He would rather me stay home and be with the kids while working himself to the bone so our children don't have to be in daycare. He feels that it is his responsibilty as a man to support his family even if that means being away from home a lot more than we would like. It is important to him that our children be home rather than be taken care of by others.

*He is completely faithful and has never given me any reason to stray.

*He is always on my side and stands behind me, even if it means going against his family at times.
