I like That Nancy,
Glad to hear you include furkids as well.
They are such a huge part of so many lives

I start out by honoring those I've personally known who have passed on. I also include the animal patients whom I helped at the vet clinic where I work. Then I move on to include those who have passed on but whom I didn't know personally.

This will be our 11th anniversary, which falls on a Thursday this year. Since DH doesn't have classes on Thursdays, this means that we'll get to spend the entire day together, which will be nice. We're planning on spending some of it at Madra Rua, an Irish pub that we've never been to, but have been wanting to check out. I don't know if we'll be eating out or not.

We'll send a card to my FIL for his birthday and I'm sure that DH will call him.

Samhain is a celebration that honors the dead, so I will be performing a ritual honoring those who have passed on during the year. Then I will have what is known as a dumb supper, where food is laid out for those who have passed on and the meal is eaten in silence in their honor.

Great you two will be able to spend the day together nancy,
Hopefully the place you eat at is very good!
I think that is cool what/how you celebrate that holiday.
Is it honoring any & all that have passed on or just those you have known ?

My anniversary is on the 13th (yes, DH and I were married on Friday the 13th). My FIL's birthday is on the 28th. And I will be celebrating Samhain, the holiest day of the year, on the 31st.
