I voted other since I don't use either placemats or table cloth.

Personally I'm not a big fan of either on the kitchen table. The dining room table always has a tabelcloth on it though. Madison has her own placement too. I just sponge down the kitchen table after each meal and it stays pretty clean that way.

Daily, we don't eat at the dining room table so we don't use placemats or tablecloth.

When we have a special dinner or have people over for dinner with us, we set the table accordingly. Because we have a nice dining room table, we usually use placemats so as not to cover up the table completely.

Occasionally, we'll use a tablecloth for a meal that is messier (i.e. fondue) to provide more complete protection of the table.

That sounds good RoseAnn,
With having such a nice table you wouldn't want to cover it up.
Smart though if/when having messier meals :)

Good to see you here KImberly,
Nice you don't need either.
Just a wipe of the table & you're all done :)
