Good morning,

I have a question for those of you who are happily married. Does your husband give you the "habit hug and I love you's" once in the morning when going to work and then once before going to bed, or do you just let

He did, and then one day we got into a disagreement about something and he mentioned that he gives me a hug and kiss in the morning and night and tells me he loves me at those times because he feels like he has to do it. He says now he only wants to do it when he "feels" like it.

Hmmm, well I assume you say it at the times all the time?
See what happens maybe he will *learn* to do it then too.
Nothing wrong with him saying it when he *feels* like it :)

Actually, that is what I want to hear. You both don't have to tell them you need to hear it. They are happy to tell you during the times of habit, and the times they feel like it because they want to in both circumstances. There is no question about it, because they are doing it on their own without being prompted. So though even some it it may seem repetitious, the rest of the time it is not. That is what I thought was healthy relationship was about, and it seems I was right.

So does your DH tell you at those times ?
Hoping yes & without being prompted :)

Like Hugss said, there is no one answer.

I get a combo of both and that's because DH wants "I love you" to be the last words I hear as we part in case something were to happen so it is sort of out of habit but then there are times where it is spontaneous.
