My mom taught me that men aren't forever and neither are jobs. You never know what life will throw at you. She taught me that I needed to be smart (book and street) enough to be able to pick myself up, dust myself off and get back on the horse. That I need to be able to take care of me. That I have something to fall back on. My mother and I have had a rocky relationship and there is a lot that I don't agree with or condone. But that bit has always stuck with me and I have always been able to figure something out.
If I can think of any or remember I'll let you know :)
This is what my myum taught me.
"it is not the childrens fault they exist, it is the parents. So just love them"
She said whoever left had to take the kids :) I don't have any kids yet, but I could see that making you want to stay a little longer lol

Those are wonderful words of wisdom!
