What DH says when I'm not around :)

So DH played with my coed ice hockey in the fall season (Sept-May). I play with the team spring season (May-Aug). I was in the locker room and one of the other players said to me, "oh J is SOOO cute!!" (she's gay so it's no big deal that she thinks my DH is cute - I think she's cute, if I were gay...LOL). "He was bragging about you! (emphasis is hers)..."he said you are so committed to training and in the best shape of your life...it's SOOOO cute!"

Just so you know, my hubby IS cute. Shhhhh...don't tell him tho - he thinks that condescending for some reason. But it's interesting to hear that he's been bragging about me to the team. He doesn't say, "good job" or anything when I tell him about my training. In fact, he always says, "you don't need to do that - you'll be fine." when I want to add something...? strange...why can't they tell us this stuff to our face?

Needless to say, it gave me lots of warm fuzzies!!!

Dee, thanks so much for posting this! I know exactly what you mean about those warm fuzzies. I know my DH loves me, but feeling like he's proud of me enough to brag on me is a different feeling.

On Christmas morning, DH had gone to our storage unit. I saw suspicious activity at our neighbor's house, and called 911 to report it. DH got back just before the police showed up. He wasn't disparaging, but I could tell he thought I was making a big deal out of nothing. Since I tend to exaggerate, and since I couldn't explain what, exactly, had made me suspicious, I couldn't blame him. But it turned out that the house had been broken into, and that the burglar was still inside when the police arrived.

After all the excitement was over, DH immediately called his mom *and* his aunt to tell them that, "Carol was a Christmas hero!" It definitely gave me warm fuzzies to see him so proud of me that he just had to brag to others.

Well you were a Christmas hero!! What a cool story. I think we call that "women's intuition" when we aren't sure why we feel something? Men call it a "hunch"...I believe both things have merit even it if can't be explained :) Keep listening!
