The weather is supposed to be pretty mild here this week...50s and 60s, maybe low 70s. There are showers in the forecast for later in the week.

We didn't plant our tomato plants this weekend (ran out of time plus iffy weather Saturday night) so they have to watered daily and taken outside for daytime sunshine. We may plant them mid-week if we can get motivated after work.

The only really exciting thing for me this week is that I've signed up to participate in my first 5K. It's being held where I work and two coworkers are going to join me. Should be fun!

I have been very careful in my wording. LOL I think I am capable of jogging it, although I have never been a runner and am not training for this that way. DH thinks that the 2 miles I do

Back to work ?

Most definately. Dropped DH off on base early this AM; finished an article for the magazine I wrote for by around 8am and I was clocked in at my day job at about 8:15am. I work until I go pick DH up from work and then it's dinner and off to call backs at the local theater!

Something different & fun?
Yesterday I auditioned for a local production of "Into the Woods" - one of my all time favorite musicals. I was hoping to get the Baker's wife, but I got called back to read for both the Baker's Wife and the Witch! Call backs are tonight, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I sang A Summer in Ohio from The Last 5 Years for my audition. (This isn't me - just the same

Auditions & 5 K runs, it sounds like everyone is having an exciting week!

I'm on maternity leave so still off work. I have to set up some coffee dates with my new supervisor (whom I've never met) and a coworker to get myself back into work mentality. Plus, there are a lot of changes and I want to be able to just jump right in.

The weather here is terrible. In the past few weeks, we've had glimpses of the sun but only briefly. So far, no sign of sun. Just cloudy and rainy all week.

We were suppose to go on a "mini-vacation" to a nearby island here but DH didn't ask him aunt and grandmother if they were free. Since introducing the new baby (he's almost ONE already!) to them is the reason for the trip, I wasn't sure whether to book the hotel and things. He emailed them this morning - we are suppose to leave Wed morning!!! - so we'll see if I can book everything in time. If we go, I'll probably stay the long weekend and visit with my sister. She lives on the island and offered an invitation to us. Since we don't get along and my family doesn't see much of my sister, I kind of feel like I should try to get there :)

Sorry for the novel, I'm in a chatty mood today for some reason!

I found out yesterday online that my application to become a Canadian Permanant Resident had been received and is in process with no problems so far (been a few months, took a while to find online). Now I get to wait until the end of the year to find out if I get to stay with my DH. I'm not allowed to work, but I can volunteer. Unfortunatly the place I volunteer at has shut down and I'm waiting on news of another opportunity. Wait, wait, wait. I seem to be doing a lot of that.

My DH's weekend is wednesday and thursday. It's supposed to continue to rain all week, but it might be light enough that we can get to our gardening. It's not a lot. Some herbs in some small planters and a couple of veggies in the bigger ones. We live in a basement apartment, but we have super sweet landlords and the let us have a little set up in their yard.
