Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to respond. I check in daily, and sometimes multiple times but I normally just glance at the top post. If it hasn't changed, I don't usually look any further. I guess I need to look closer until I figure out how to sort things the way I prefer. ;) I also had some difficulty logging in to comment today but at least this time it only took two attempts! LOL

What's on the agenda this week? Nothing too spectacular. Yesterday was a holiday for me and I felt like I got a good amount of things done around the house.

DSD, DSIL and DGSs are arriving next Monday for a 2-week visit, we're hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 15 people and shortly after our houseguests leave, I'm visiting my mom for a long weekend so I feel like the pressure of Christmas decorating, cards, shopping, wrapping, etc. is all coming due in short order!

Busy is good. Wine is better. LOL

Good to see you RoseAnn,
Well we are able to *float* posts to the top & therefor others won't go to the top
The CM has floated her *Tech* one so .. yes keep looking.
Although I too have had problems getting here.
Glad it only took you two tries <g>
You can set the threads to newest to oldest & with a bit of luck it will stick.

Lucky you on having had Monday off & accomplishing a lot.
So guess you'll be getting ready for everyone to get there on Monday.
Really exciting though & I am sure you're looking forward to it even with hosting TG for all those people.
Oh yes with you taking the long weekend off after .. the holidays will be here <wink>
Hope until Monday you enjoy the *calm before the storm*

Wine is always better , LOL

Have a great week :)

I'm afraid to try sorting messages because whenever I hit "Latest Post" it takes me back to 2003. Weird! LOL That's good to know that some posts take priority because of how they are set up but does take some getting used to.

This weekend, we'll be child-proofing and getting the guest room ready: rail for the 2-y.o.'s bed, crib set up and made (borrowing that from a coworkers...she's a life saver!), getting the gate out, making sure I have all the outlet plugs back in place...

What are your plans for the holiday?

LOL on that latest post to 2003, very weird!
Fun on the child proofing <g>
Glad you have some help with certain things though .. all very important

Both my sons will  be home Wednesday for the holiday.
Friday night we are giving oldest ds a surprise party for his 30th bday (::gasp:: that makes me feel old, LOL)
Should be fun although I think he knows something but not all of it :)

I agree with your last line, Rosie!  lol

This is a banner week for me as I got new kitten on Monday night.  Dh is a cat hater, so I had to talk LONG and HARD about it.  I finally told him that when you love someone, you want them to be happy, and having a cat has always made me happy and by not allowing me to have one, he was keeping a part of me from being who I am.  He listened.  It's sad though.  I work in an office 8 hours a day, so it's dh (works out of our home) and his unemployed 19 year old son who get to spend all day with him and not me.  :(  It's been good for dh though.  Donovan (new kitty) craves attention and sticks to us like glue.  Dh was out of town Tuesday night and texted me asking me how "his buddy" was doing!  And this was only after ONE day!  lol  Warmed my heart.  :)

How fun on the surprise party for your DS! My dad's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year.

Don't let it get to you that you have a 30-y.o. son...my 30s is when my mom and I started really connecting as adults. ;)

It sounds like Donovan (love the name, BTW) may have won him over!

DH and I have never had cats but they are generally more independent than dogs, right, at least once they have grown up? So, if they can tolerate the kitten stage, they'll have a friend for life! :)

Thanks RoseAnn,
Yes every few years his bday is also on TG since he was born on it too.
We do have a good relationship even if he lives in another state ::sigh::
Thank goodness for modern technology <wink>
How nice for your Dad this year :)

Dh, since being a cat hater, and I had compromised on getting a small dog when the time came we were both ready for a pet, but with the lifestyle we have of liking to sometimes going away on weekends (mostly in the summer), and both of us working fulttime plus no backyard didn't make a dog a real viable choice.  It's so cute to see dh baby Donovan.  Makes me smile. :)

Here's a picture of new baby.  Who could resist that face??
