DH is definitely the better chef. We were just discussing the other day that the difference between a chef and a cook is that a chef invents recipes and a cook follows existing instructions. ;)

I help out in the kitchen and have gotten fairly accomplished at cooking dinner for myself when I'm home alone but I'm not nearly as inventive and my meals are very simple in comparison to some of the gourmet stuff he produces!

We are both good cooks, and we make different things, so it works out well. DH is great at chicken fried steak, quesadillas, enchiladas, chili, and anything on the grill (of course). He also learned to make cheesecake, which I try not to take advantage of too often. I make a mean pot roast, lasagna, and beef stew, among other things.

And we both like to cook, which is good most of the time.

We are both good cooks, which is good because we split the cooking about evenly. DH is better at baking and grilling. I'm good with more gourmet type dishes. We both love good food, so we have invested in many cookbooks over the years. Since returning to school, my crockpot has become my favorite appliance.

I love my cp & use it all year round, do you?
That's great you both cook well & can split the cooking like that!
Sounds perfect & makes it even better/easier for you both :)

Yes. I do use it year round. Yesterday I made red beans and rice in the cp.
