Here's a great update -- as some of you may recall, a couple months ago i was concerned that my BF was only interested in church because i was. And i wondered about his sincerity. well, things have been getting better and better ... and I have more encouraging news. We've been steadily going to a church for a little over two months. I no longer have to "drag" him to go.... often times, he is the leader in making sure everyone is ready on time.


this is the latest... we went to a car show that our church sponsored over the weekend. And BF bought a couple shirts. Today he called me to tell me what happened when he was wearing his shirt. He had three instances of someone asking him about the church. And then he invited them to go... one was a sister of someone who he was helping move a washing machine. She saw his shirt and said, i wanted to go to the car show, how was it? And he said,

Hi loony bunny!!! I am a church-goer too. That is so exciting! I'm so glad your BF is getting into it :-)

You can definitely see the difference between pushing someone to go to church and having them want to go. I think in matters like religion, the person really has to want to be there, otherwise, they are really not going to get much out of it, even if they are sitting in the church.
