I'm posting this here because some of you old timers will probably remember all the sagas I went through in my 2nd marriage involving my DSD--when we got married she was around 12 and she was a nice kid, then when she went to high school, something changed and she got into a lot of trouble.

I gotta admit, I would have loved to receive that letter. At least you know that she is sorry for it all and more importantly, it seems she recognizes her part in it and has matured (I'm not saying she had a part in your divorce, just her part of being a PITA at times). I think it's sad how she found out about the two of you too. Do you know if she even talks to her dad anymore?

That's nice that she took the time to tell you that.........I think you were a pretty important person in her life

How nice is that? I don't know too many kids that age that would take the time to write a letter like that. I hope you will write her back. Pam

From what my ex has been telling me over the past year or so, basically she would only call when she wanted money, which he would give her & then complain about.

Hmmm, very interesting. I would fathom to say she is either turning over a new leaf and is trying to clean up her act, or she is just a really good minipulator. One or the other.

For her sake, I hope she making some postive changes. The letter is great, however I would still be mindful of her past behavior. She may be grasping at straws right now.

Good luck with the phone call and I hope her letter was sincere.

My worry would be that she would be looking for a place to live, but unfortunately that's not going to happen.

Oh Musiclover, I think she had the best of intentions as she wrote this to you and probably a little bit of guilt too.
