I am back, kind of....

I was just trying to catch up on the posts, whew! Lot's of new 'faces' I see.

It was a nice, calm, and relaxing vacation. I spent alot of time with Sean, as he leaves for college in a couple of weeks and I won't see him again (except on Skype)until Thanksgiving. DH understood my need to have time with Sean.

I also thought that it was a great step forward that DH's daughter came and spent some time with just Sean and I. Considering 12 years ago, she didn't want to be in the same place with me, that makes me very happy. We got pizza, watched UP and played shuffleboard. It takes time, but you can make things better.

We spent a little time with the rest of DH's family, but mostly for me it was beach, beer and bed. The three B's. Oh, I wish it could have gone on, but DH missed the dogs and Sean has to get ready to go. My oldest did a great job of keeping the house clean and the dogs cared for. So, today we (DH and I) go back to the shelter and think about getting our next foster dog. That makes it worth coming home.:-)

Welcome back. I'm glad you had some time to relax and spend with your son before he's off to college. Now, how far away again, is he? And he's going to a music school, correct? And lastly, I am so jealous. I would love to foster. Actually, I wish DH would go to work and I could stay home. Granted, he's out of a job, but still. There's so many things I could/would do if I didn't have to work. Sigh. I'm so jealous (sorta, since it's not by choice he's not working). Well, take some time to get back to the grind and we'll see you soon.

It's been a hellish day at work, that's for sure.

It's good hear about things getting better.

I'm waiting ... & slowly working on things...
