Congrats!

If your DSS only comes over once in a while, it will be much easier to stay out of it. My SO's DS16 is not behaving in a way my SO thinks he should be, and although I agree, it is between SO and his xW. It is wonderful to not have to parent him, and just enjoy him when I am in his company. Stuff that comes up at the house is more "roommate" stuff, like hang up your wet towel and take turns doing the dishes. Stuff like that. All the rest is up to the parents.

Look forward to having you on the board!

Yes---
WELCOME !

I'd also ditto Serenity:

Since your kids and his are similar ages----the concept of "house rules" (e.g put your dirty dishes into dishwasher, hang up your towel) should be explained and enforced from day one.........that would be my 2 cents.....(curfews/homework all that stuff you can leave to biodad to deal with----but holding SS to similar expectations as your own kids re: simple house rules , eg, dirty dishes, bathroom use, etc --is fine to be involved, and , IMO, best to get clear with from the get-go).

CONGRATULA TIONS on the wedding, BEST WISHES---and looking forward to hearing more from you !
