It is so nice to be able to be happy and full of gratitude ! Congratulations on really finding that for yourself- I'm on my way to that and I'm so excited about it , Sometimes I just can't believe it !

Well, I said I''d let yohu know what happened yesterday. Unfortunately, we never did connect with my friends. But, Sean and I did take advantage of the time away from home. We went to lunch anyway, then spent the rest of the afternoon doing some shopping at the outlet shopping mall in Laughlin.


Because of the big event, the River Run, there was a $10 charge for parking. With receipts totalling or exceeding $10 we would get our parking fee returned at the customer service desk when we left the mall. So, we looked in a few stores. I was looking for a loose, floaty kind of dress to wear with these special shoes, easy to get on and off, short, but not too short, comfy, but not housewifey. Ack, never found it. We looked in bookstores for our favorite authors with no better success. Finally, we went in to a discount store that kind of reminded me of a huge Salvation Army-type thrift store. All new stuff, but it still had the feel, know what I mean? There I did find a pair of nice slacks for Carl for his upcoming job application and, hopefully, interview. Only $13.96 so we got our $10 back!
