Weren't we just talking about this a few weeks ago? ;) Thought this was an interesting read and wanted to share! (I love the wife's little house)

Married Couples Who Live Apart: Separate But Awesome

Married couple Sandra and Todd Foster live in separate houses on the same property. Their profile in the Times verges on obnoxion (Todd's "man-cave??") — but their arrangement actually sounds pretty awesome.

IRC, the article stated that she'd have to pay extra property taxes if she installed plumbing, and that's why there's no toilet in the "Dollhouse".

It was an interesting article and an interesting couple.

This is actually more common than people think & there is abbreviation for it - LAT relationships (living together apart). It supposedly is more popular in Canada for some reason. It popular for especially older couples & ones that don't actually want to remarry or divide property when they die & want it to go to their children etc.

I didn't catch that, but it's not surprising & also probably pretty common too. I have heard how b/c of the economy, people who might otherwise have divorced, have stayed together - so. There's a fine line b/w doing what's best for the long term & just being practical & then feeling like you are just trapped in a situation.
