He knows everything he buys, the problem is that his minimums are around $800 a month and thats where all his money is going.

I agree with Liz that from your description of his spending, this is his 'addiction' and he is going to have to hit rock bottom before the reality kicks in.

I just wanted to caution you. Simply because you kept your finances separate does NOT mean that you are for sure not in any way responsible for his cards, especially if they've been paid off and run up again during the marriage and you are not legally separated. State laws vary on how marital debt is treated. I strongly encourage you to get some legal advice on your own behalf, especially if he's thinking of declaring bankruptcy and/or you're considering divorce.
