Well guys crises overted, last night my ex calls and cancels his extra time with my boys. So bad news is no "break" for me but at least I didn't have to hurt my husbands feelings and all is well. We are all meeting this weekend for the swap, man I was really looking forward to that break:( oh well at least my boys are comming back and that will make life a little easier. And my husband brought me "just because" roses last, which he never does, and said thanks for all I do. That was pretty awesome because I really didn't think he even noticed how much harder it is when SS is here, it's a good day!!

Awe...sounds like you have a great DH. I hope you stick around, we need people who are doing well to pass on to others what is working for them.

((((And he never was taking advantage of me, I was the one creating the scenario.))))

Well put, April. It is human nature to continue to ask or assume if the person always says yes or just continues doing it. Why would anyone change what is working for them?

My SO's kids were all older, so luckily we never had that kind of issue. His kids never needed daycare or meals cooked, etc. Not that I didn't do these things for them, but it was never expected, nor have I ever expected my SO to do those things for my younger DD. So when we do help eachother out with your kids, there is no resentment.

Glad you brought up talking about it now, when there is no issue. Because you are right, it will probably come up again. ~
