Weird, but cool...

Went to SO's DD21 graduation from a trade school last night.  Everyone was taking pictures afterwards and SO had me take a picture of DD21 with him, xW, and DS18.  I was fine with that, as I think DD21 deserves to have a picture with her parents on graduation day.  She got her GED, so didn't have a high school graduation.  So this really was a big deal.

SO's phone froze up and so I had to use mine and send it to all of them.  Okay, so a bit wierd, but fine. Of course she posted in FB this morning.  Again, a bit weird for me, but fine.

The cool part was that as we were wrapping everything up, DD21 says "I don't have a picture with Serenity."  They all scrambled and kind of had this look on their face like "oops, shoot, I didn't think of that."  I was nice that she thought of me.  :smileyhappy:

We all get along, so it was all good.

I'm glad that you all get along well enough and that you can understand why she would want a pic with both parents.

If you think that's wierd, today I went to a funeral of my ex's aunt.  I did know her for many years & liked her and the funeral was in my town anyway.  My ex is out of state (and drove so couldn't get back in time anyway) and he was upset for missing the funeral & told our kids to go so I went with them--but their SM sat w/ us in church cause she didn't have anyone else to sit with.  One big happy family.  lol

Serenity and musiclover both your anecdotes show that by handling such unforeseen circumstances maturely, situations can just remain weird but cool and not about to turn homicidal. Lol. If only all exes can simply respect one another, all the children involved can grow up happy with the love of both sets of families. *Sighs*

Yea, another wierd but cool moment.

With the relatives being a bit extended, it sounds like it all made sense. It is nice when we can do such things and all be grownups about it.
