I find myself happier when he doesn't buzz everyday.

You are totally not the only person who feels this way. I'm grateful that Tom has been able to be in contact as much as he has, but honestly, I'm freaking myself out a little regarding my reactions sometimes.

I've been there too. There were nights when I actually turned around and said to A "do you realize we're wasting time trying to have a conversation than just accepting it for what it is?". He was mad and then he calmed down and saw my point.

He was annoying me today. He left for SRP so he did the whole "okay I made it. What you doing today bc you sound stressed?" I was bc I was at the point where I felt like bashing my head in on this 10 page paper I have due by next Monday. He wished me luck on it.

Then he called me like 3 more times and I was getting annoyed, especially since the work I was doing is pretty tedious(analyzing stats and then citing in APA format). So, then he threw a hissy fit. WTF your are NOT deployed. You're only about 5 hours away. Chill. I'm completely fine with 1 phone call a day, 2 if you want to say goodnight.

I wonder how many people we have reading this who are new to the military life, deployments, separations, etc and can't imagine how on earth we could be saying such blasphemous things. I think we're definitely hitting on a flip-side here that hasn't been addressed much -- if at all -- on this board. Well, maybe it has. We do say all the time that life doesn't stop because of a deployment (or whatever).

I feel so relieved it's not just me that finds this communication stuff so irritating sometimes.

Honestly, I've never been one for the whole "bed of roses" that some of the boards put up.
