Happy Friday, everyone! I'm sorry I'm a bit late getting here today.
1. Tell us something about yesterday.
2. This is the first Friday of Lent, and many people have a tradition of giving up something for Lent. Will you be giving something up? If so, what?
3. Tomorrow is Hoodie Hoo Day, a day on which people are supposed to go outside at noon, wave their arms above their heads, and scream "Hoodie Hoo!" at the top of their lungs in order to scare away the cold weather of winter and make way for spring. What are you most looking forward to about/in spring?
4. Sunday is Card Reading Day. It's supposed to be a day to send and receive greeting cards, but I'm wondering something else: have you ever had a tarot card reading, had your fortune told, or consulted a psychic? If so, how accurate did it turn out to be, and did you do so just for fun or because you have a belief in such things?
5. What's on your agenda for today and the weekend?

1. Tell us something about yesterday.
~ I was still recovering from a bug I seemed to pick up between San Diego and here, so when Toby took a 4 and a half hour nap, I did too!
2. This is the first Friday of Lent, and many people have a tradition of giving up something for Lent. Will you be giving something up? If so, what?
~ I can't think of anything I feel led to give up, so I've decided to add something instead. I'm going to try to take a cue from my faith and find forgiveness for some family members who have really hurt my feelings over the past year or two. I will also probably be trying to devote more time routinely to my faith. I need to be more diligent about that.
~ It's not much of an issue here, but I always look forward to seeing things turn green again and seeing flowers bloom.
~ I've never had any type of reading done, though for a fundraiser in college, I did goofy Tarot readings. I learned what all the cards really meant, but I made a point to make my readings as outlandish as possible.
5. What's on your agenda for today and the weekend?
~ Today, I went grocery shopping and will be catching up on housework. Tomorrow we might go to the Air & Space Museum. On Sunday, we're going to try to make it to Mass and then just hang out at home.
1. Tell us something about yesterday.
hmmm yesterday was spent cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! and I had to drive a u haul for my friend.
2. This is the first Friday of Lent, and many people have a tradition of giving up something for Lent. Will you be giving something up? If so, what?
Oh yes I give things up!! I am VERY Catholic!
I gave up bread, soda, sweets
Maine is always so cold during winter. This winter we have really been blessed with WARM temps. It's already starting to feel like spring. I love opening my windows in the house, turning off the heat, driving with open windows, the longer sunshine, going outside and not freezing, I could go on forever!

I never have and never will!

1. Tell us something about yesterday. Yesterday we had our first "study group session" at work during lunch (i.e. on our own time) for the upcoming test. I can't say it was super beneficial, but i'll take what i can get. I went back home and studied some more. blah
2. This is the first Friday of Lent, and many people have a tradition of giving up something for Lent. Will you be giving something up? If so, what? I'm not Catholic, so i'm not giving anything up
It seems like it's always "spring" here in San Diego, but i'm really looking forward to the longer days when the sun stays out till like 8p.m.!
In college i had a couple of separate occasions where friends claimed they knew how to read cards/palms so we did it for fun. Although these were done years apart and by different people, it was weird b/c both basically said i would meet/know (?) whoever i was supposed to marry and that i would have to choose between two guys. :shrugs: i don't really believe in that stuff, but i'm not 26 (or married) yet so i'll keep you updated! lol
5. What's on your agenda for today and the weekend? My friend is coming down for the weekend. We're big nerds and we're going to study hard since we both have big tests coming up. I'm hoping to take the bike out and do a morning walk through the park on Saturday, but it's expected to rain.

Spring can get here, then summer, and fall, and winter again (and with winter, my DH).

Tonight he's gone over to the house of a guy in his unit and then tomorrow he's going to a gun show, neither of which I was interested in, but this evening he literally asked me if I would go on a date with him tomorrow (cute) so I'm not sure what he has in mind
