Hi all! We wanted to take this opportunity to remind/warn everyone about the importance of never saying too much on the boards or on the Internet in general. We need to remember not to give out specific information on deployments, TDYs and other things that might jeopardize the security of our own families and our troops. We know that most of the stuff is plastered all over the media, but let's keep a tight lip on it just in case (not to say that we don't welcome discussions on places like Kosovo or other deployments, just leave out the specifics as far as what squadron, etc.) We feel that this is even more important now, because the threat of domestic and foreign terrorism is very real.
***Also, while we are always concerned about the security of our military members, don't forget about your OWN personal security! Be careful what you post on this board about where you are, what your last name is, whether your significant other is in town or away from home on a TDY or deployment, where you or your SO work, what kind of car you drive, etc... It could be very easy for someone to put together this kind of info and find you! You can never be too careful -- just like you would in person. Please e-mail us if you have any questions at DMM_CLs@yahoo.com. Or post a message here and someone will respond to you. When in doubt...ask before you post.
Thanks!
