What kinds of fun do you ladies have planned for summer?

I'm doing some professional development classes to help keep my teaching certification active, so I don't run into any issues when I am ready to go back to work.

SD is visiting us for the summer, so we'll be doing some fun stuff together. MIL put her in a swim camp and offered to take her each day. DH has work and it's hard for me to drive with this contraption on my knee. I also have physical therapy. Plus, it'll be good for her to have some little friends here to play with.

Other than that no other big plans. My birthday is in 2 weeks. DH has drill that weekend so I think it'll just be pizza and a homemade birthday cake by yours truly. Baking doesn't bother me. Oh and there will be some alcoholic beverages after the LO goes to bed.

Well, Tom came home for R&R, and the day after he left, we went to the beach for a few days. Soon, we might be visiting my MIL in Philly for her mom's birthday, and after that, we'll probably head to Illinois to see my family again. Somewhere in there, one of my best friends is either going to try to visit me, or I'm going to visit her in Oklahoma. By the time we do all that, it'll be time to get back into a routine to prepare for redeployment (homecoming).

Will do. The trip to Philly got postponed. My SIL's husband couldn't get extra time off work for them to be able to drive, and flights were too expensive. So we're planning to do it in early September when he does have time off. We won't be there for Nan's birthday, but maybe we'll be able to Skype with her. Plus, it'll give her something else to look forward to. She can teach us all to play "poker" (which is actually bridge) again.
