A VERY important message about the News

The best advice I've heard about dealing with the news is: "first reports are never as good OR as bad as they seem." So, no matter WHAT you hear, wait until there is a second report to verify the information before you let yourself react. Secondly, if you feel inclined to discuss the news on the board, we think it's a fair request that you include a direct link to the news story you're referencing to avoid getting the details misconstrued. If you wish to debate certain issues, you might also want to look into participating in the following boards:
"In The News," http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-elinthenews , which has extensively debated the issue of war.
There is also a board that is solely dedicated to the discussion of Iraq, titled "Hot Topic: War on Iraq" http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ivIraq,
Another board of interest may be "American Tragedy" http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhtragedy.
We want to keep things as friendly and supportive as possible on our board so that we all feel equally comfortable here. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly at DMM_CLs@yahoo.com.
