Another week another dollar, what do you have to get done this week? What do you want to get done but it's not top priority?
And lastly, anything fun or special planned JUST FOR YOU?
I don't really have any "have to's" this week but have alot of would like to get dones:1. Finish my CLIA courses and get all my paperwork gathered up and sent in for that so it's done. 2. Laundry so it doesn't get ahead of me again3. Plan our hotels and route to/from the Black Hills4. Plan anything else we want to do on that vacation5. Start thinking about meals for that week6. Keep work up to date7. Make eye appts for me and the kids, and a dermatologist appt for me.
And just for me? I am going to a bible study class at church that starts on Thursday, we are reading "The Year of Living Biblically" It's supposed to be quite humorous.
I still need to get my bedroom put together and I have about 10 more boxes in the LR that I need to get through. After payday I am going to run to the thrift store and see if I can find a desk and some bookshelves. My priority for this week is to get our rental property in NC listed through a property manager. Our tenants moved out at the end of the month with no notice. That's just a joy to handle from here in TX... UGH!
Ande is in the field this week, some pissing competition thing so it's a quiet week around here. Housing is coming to replace a bad window this afternoon.
Other than that it's just getting the kids through school and hoping to spend Friday at either the lake or the pool.
As for what I am going to do just for me, I did that yesterday. I ran out and got a haircut.
Hope you all have a great week!!
Kim,Sean got me hooked on a new series, it's fantasy though, so depends on whether you like fantasy or not. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eye_of_the_World
For my bible study group at church I need to get started on that book too.
We have been to the black hills before but Sarah was like 2, so doesn't remember any of it. We are actually going to a rendezvous that is up in the National Forest area of the hills (we will be over 6,000 ft elevation I guess). http://www.hprr.org/2010/maps.htm I couldn't remember if you had time to do the Black Hills or no on your circle tour. We don't leave camp often but do plan on doing the badlands either on the way in or out (as we missed them last time), and want to see Mt Rushmore lit up at night. Anything incredible you saw while you were there that I should add to our short list?
Not a whole lot on my must do list.
We're winding down the school year, which means that I'm super swamped at work with last minute things.
OK, I busted out my trip log and here's what we did:
Deadwood is the funniest little place! http://www.deadwood.org/ We had a good time there and ate at a $7 all you can eat buffet that was really good! LOL It's kind of like Vegas in the old west. It's got some cool historic stuff too. Wild Bill Hickok was killed there at the Lucky Nugget Gambling hall.
Custer State park is beautiful! http://gfp.sd.gov/state-parks/directory/custer/default.aspx Lots of wildlife and a really cool road through the park through some wild rock formations that only fit one car in one direction at a time! LOL
Mount Rushmore is an absolute MUST if you've never been. Very cool. They have a whole ceremony when they turn on the lights and they ask all those who have served or currently serve in the military to stand up and be recognized. http://www.nps.gov/moru/index.htm
The Badlands are really cool too. You could do them in a couple hours in my opinion. There is a road that goes from one end of the park to the other with vistas along the way with signs that tell you what you're looking at. http://www.nps.gov/badl/index.htm
Just outside the badlands is a place called Wall drug. This place is hysterical and a total tourist trap! http://www.walldrug.com/ There are signs for MILES before you get there along the highway with all kinds of funny sayings!
If you have any questions lemme know!
