We had the memorial service for my uncle

today. He was my dad's youngest brother and had been suffering from Alzheimers but had some really incredible friends living near him in Washington that were taking care of him (they pretty much were family to him). So while we didn't see alot of him recently, he did used to visit more often when I was younger. My mom invited his other sister in law (her husband was my dad's middle brother and is also deceased), and two of her sons came with their wives, the 4 of us were there, my sister, her husband, both her daughters and one of their boyfriends, as well as my brother. So it was small but nice, my BIL is a deacon so he did a memorial service and then my mom wanted Sean and I do to our Tae Kwon Do form to the Star Spangled Banner as my uncle was in the service. We had lunch and it was nice to visit with my cousins and their wives, we only see each other at funerals it seems which is sad. So it went well, my mom has a small box with the ashes, and the rest of them were buried at a memorial bench in WA with his best friend (his wife will be buried there as well, the best friends wife that is).
